Compliance Code
An inspection company is only as good as the conduct of the person holding the clipboard. Our code governs both ends: boardroom and field.
BCBD’s compliance code governs technical, professional and ethical conduct in four areas:
- Integrity and transparency
- Confidentiality
- Conflict of interest
- Anti-bribery
In practice, the code means this: our findings are not for sale. Our inspectors accept no favour or gift from any party to an inspection; conflicts of interest are declared before an assignment is accepted, not discovered after; and every report, certificate and piece of client information stays confidential. Responsibility for the code sits with everyone — Board of Directors, advisers, consultants, management and field staff alike.
The code follows guidelines developed by IFIA, WTO, SAI, BSCI, UN and ISO, and operates within a quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2015 — so our conduct is not just declared, it is audited.
