Your approved sample, swatch and order specification are lodged with us before we attend. * Samples are chosen at random by our inspector — never guided by the supplier, and never by whichever cartons are easiest to reach. * We and our inspectors are completely independent, and accept no favour or gift from the supplier. ### Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) * Critical defects — AQL: 0.0 * Major defects — AQL: 2.5 * Minor defects — AQL: 4.0 ### Sampling and analysis On request, we draw and seal samples during inspection for dispatch to you and/or to a laboratory for analysis. ### Re-inspection If an inspection fails, you may request a second one — and you pay only for the first. Subsequent inspections of the same goods are invoiced directly to the supplier, unless you instruct otherwise. The party that caused the failure carries its cost. ## Loading supervision An inspection is only as good as what actually gets loaded. Under loading supervision we confirm that the goods being shipped are the goods we inspected, and that container, cargo and vessel conditions are satisfactory at the moment of loading. ## The Inspection Certificate * On completion of the mandated inspection, we issue an Inspection Certificate (I/C). * If the supplier withholds anything we need to issue the I/C, we put the facts to you for a decision without delay — we do not paper over gaps. * Distribution of the I/C follows your instructions. ## Procedure, cost & coverage Procedures follow **ANSI, US MIL-STD-105E, SAI, IFIA, IICL, ISO** and/or your specific guidelines.
